Terms of Sale
LA MARQUEZA HATS offers products for sale that are in stock and available for dispatch from our distribution center.
If you require a special customisation or wholesale production, the dispatch time can vary and, for wholesale orders we may be waiting for shipments from our producers. In this case, this is clearly specified in the item description and you may given the possibility of making an Advance Payment for certain items in which case you are able to make an Advance Purchase. This will ensure that you receive your order in priority once the stock has been delivered to LA MARQUEZA HATS. Alternatively, you may simply choose to register your email address for notification of arrival of the selected merchandise not held in stock.
Items in your shopping basket are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers.
(a) Our Contract
When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order: this email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us will not be formed until we send you confirmation by e-mail that the goods which you ordered have been dispatched to you. Only those goods listed in the confirmation e-mail sent at the time of dispatch will be included in the contract formed.
(b) Pricing and Availability
Prices shown on the site are in Pound Sterling GBP and are inclusive of taxes. If you are a customer whose credit/debit card is not denominated in GBP, the final price will be calculated in accordance with the applicable exchange rate on the day your card issuer processes the transaction.
Shipping costs will be charged in addition; such additional charges are clearly displayed where applicable and included in the 'Total'. However if the FREE shipping promotion is active at the moment of your purchase you will don't be charged this shipping cost.
(c) Product images
Online product images may not always be exact to actual order, this is because all merchandise displayed on the LA MARQUEZA HATS Website are handmade by traditional and skilled Ecuadorian artisans, making each item one-of-a-kind. This means that the colour, finish and design of the merchandise may vary slightly from one to the other, and may differ slightly from the images displayed on the Website, even if we have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the Site. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any colour will be 100% accurate.
How to use a promo code or gift card
If you have a promo code or a La Marqueza Hats gift card follow the steps below to apply it to your order.
Gift card, once purchased, cannot be returned nor refunded but these do not have an expiration date.
1. Add items to your cart and proceed through the checkout steps.
2. When you reach the Payment Options page, copy/paste your code in the box underneath Discount code. Codes are case sensitive and should not have spaces before or after them.
3. Click Apply Code.
4. Your Order Summary on the top right of the page should now reflect your savings amount. Click Continue to continue your purchase.
Promo codes that offer a percentage off can be used in combination with free delivery promo codes, but cannot be combined with other percentage off promo codes.
1. Promo codes are not transferable or redeemable for cash or credit. Certain products are excluded from promo codes.
2. Coupon codes do not apply to items with the label "on sale" or those special sale products

4. To apply a promo code, you must enter it prior to completing the order, we are unable to use a code for previous orders.
We ship worldwide, however currently we are NOT able to ship to the following countries due to shipping complications: Albania, Algeria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Chile, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Libya, Lithuania, Macedonia, Mali, Moldova, Panama, Pakistan, Paraguay, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Rwanda, Serbia, Senegal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Somalia, Tunisia, Ukraine, Venezuela.
All orders are shipped by ROYAL MAIL UK on business days (Monday to Friday) excluding holidays. Deliveries will be tracked and signed. In some cases we also use DPD/DHL/Fedex insured service. Once your order is shipped we will provide you with a tracking number. Import duty or tax costs will be invoiced to you directly from the shipping service. We recommend you to contact your local customs authority to determine a landed cost price prior to purchase completion. The merchandise is insured during the transit time until the goods are delivered to the specific address of the customer, at which point responsibility of the purchased goods passes to you. If your order will not be delivered within the timeframe specified at ordering we will notify you and try to rectify the situation as quickly as practically possible.
Normal Dispatch Time: 1-3 business days depending on fabrications times.
Delivery Times (estimates):
- Shipping inside UK: Royal Mail 1st Class Signed and Tracked, may take between 4 - 5 business days. (Alternative Parceltogo shipping would be used for big parcels)
- Special delivery: 2-3 business days from the purchase.
- Shipping to EU: Royal Mail International Signed, may take between 5 - 10 business days. (service when available)
- Shipping to the rest of the world: may take between 15 - 30 business days.
- International Shipping using express service/Fedex, may take between 8 -10 business days.
Returns and exchange policy
We strive to keep all our customers happy. If you need to return or exchange the size of your hat for another one, we are glad to refund or offer the replacement within the 14 days limit of purchase.
All merchandise returned must be unworn with the original packaging intact and the tags still on, using or including all their original packaging, instructions, and other documents, if any, accompanying the items.
The right to return for a refund may be applied to the purchased product as a whole; it is not in fact possible to return only part of the purchased product (for eg., accessories, complementary items, etc).
Returns and exchanges can only be processed when provided with the related proof of purchase and before the limit period has expired. All exchanges are subject to stock availability.
Return shipping costs are incurred at the expense of the customer. Should the goods be damaged in transit, we shall notify the Client, in order that the Client may promptly lodge a complaint against the courier that was used and obtain appropriate compensation. La Marqueza LTD shall not be liable in any way for damage, theft or loss that occurs during or as a result of a shipment made for the purposes of returning goods.
For local exchanging an item to a more suitable size, the shipping cost from our shop to your address will be FREE of charge once and we will use standard shipping service.
For international customers, it is important to clearly mark your return parcels ‘Return Goods to England’ with a domestic sale value of £0.00, as your returned items are not applicable to duty once they reach the UK, this will prevent them being held up at customs. International customers are required to cover the delivery costs of exchanged items. We will contact you to let you know your options. In order to prevent any unexpected exchanges, please double-check your size before the purchase.
Returns outside this period will not be accepted, and will be sent back to the delivery address used in the original order.
In a unlikely event that your preferred size is sold out a refund will be issued. The original shipping fees are not-refundable.
As we are unable to exchange any item for an alternative colour or style, we suggest that you return your purchase for a refund and place a new order for the preferred item.
Customised and/or bespoke items are not-refundable, because have been made especially for you. This does not affect your statutory rights.
In the event that you become aware, on receipt, of any item is faulty or damaged, whilst we hope this never happens you can return it for a refund or exchange within 14 days from the date you received it, please contact us immediately at email@example.com so we can personal assist you and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Where we suspect fraudulent activity, including but not limited to circumstances where there are suspicious claims relating to orders having been placed, but not received, or if we suspect that you are returning items after they have been used or worn, or items returned do not match what you ordered, we reserve the right to withhold refunds and block your account (and any associated accounts) from placing orders in future. If this happens to you and you think we’ve made a mistake, you can Contact Us and we will discuss the matter with you further.
We will full refund the price of the item within 3-5 business days and after receipt it and verify if it is in excellent conditions as previously described.
No returns will be accepted after the specified returns period. Please take care to fully inspect your items to ensure you are happy with them before disposing of packaging as failure to do so may result in us being unable to refund you. This does not affect your statutory rights.
